I am the founder and director of easibirthing®, in addition to my full time practice in Salisbury as a Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Life Coach.
I have been in practice for over 23 years and so you can be confident that you are consulting a highly experienced professional. Through my career, she gained extensive experience in the field of mental health: working within Social Services, National Health Service & voluntary sector.
As part of easibirthing, I support women and their partners in using Hypnosis for Fertility, Pregnancy, Childbirth, Post Natal Mental Health & Parenting Support.
I also teach professional courses for hypnotherapists, psychotherapists, counsellors and psychotherapeutic counsellors throughout the UK at live events and within the ‘easibirthing and parenting ONLINE training school’ for any professionals working with or have an interest in working with parents or expectant parents to help restore and maintain positive mental and emotional health..
The easibirthing® model in fertility, childbirth & post natal mental health is accredited by the ‘National College of Hypnosis Psychotherapy & Mindfulness (nchp)’ to train qualified Hypnotherapists and Hypnotists and throughout the world to specialise in these areas. The nchp have training schools based in the UK, US, and Australia.
As an accredited member of the ‘UK Council of Psychotherapy’, ‘United Kingdom Council of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO)‘ and of the ‘Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)‘. I am also a registered BUPA consultant and have the UKCP Child and Adolescent Proficiency Marker.
I am also an honourary fellow of the 'National Society for Hypnosis, Psychotherapy and Mindfulness'. In 2019 I became the first ever recipient of the 'Brookhouse and Biddle award for contribution to hypnosis and psychotherapy'.
In addition I am the appointed practitioner for South Wiltshire and West Hampshire within the 'Brookhouse Hypnotherapy Group'.
I am a registered member of ‘United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP)', 'The National Society of Hypnosis, Psychotherapy & Mindfulness' and 'Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council'. My training is also accredited by the ‘National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy’. As a member of these organisations, I am required to abide by their Code of Ethics and Practice. This includes undertaking regular supervision, having appropriate professional insurance and being committed to continued professional development.
Prior to my work in Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling, I worked in social care for over 25 years in both social services, local authorities and charities; gaining experience with a wide range of individuals including children and young people, people with learning disabilities, those with a history of addictions, dual diagnosis and sufferers of mental ill health.
I have an up-to-date enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
I have a specialist interest in working with anxiety, depression, self harm and post-traumatic stress disorder ( PTSD ). I also deal with issues around weight loss and control, compulsive and excessive eating, stress management, performance anxiety, stopping smoking, fears and phobias - although this list is not exhaustive.
I continue to keep abreast of all developments in the fields of Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling in order to offer a continually improving and therefore effective and caring service to all clients in and around the Salisbury area.
